In short

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a fixed-term contract role in our SKIDATA Malaysia office. You will manage financial planning, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, general ledger, tax, and payroll, reporting to the Senior Manager – Finance and Administration APAC. This hands-on role requires strong analytical skills and experience with IFRS, AASB, ATO obligations, and Australian corporate tax.

Responsibilities

Manage fortnightly sales forecast, quarterly forecasts, and annual budget process.
Prepare internal management reports and group submissions.
Manage reconciliations, journals, accruals, and balance sheet maintenance.
Oversee end-to-end payroll including superannuation, leave, and entitlements.
Prepare for internal and external audits and strengthen internal controls.
Partner with local, regional, and group stakeholders.
Drive process improvements and maintain SOP documentation.
Support company secretarial obligations and governance compliance.

Requirements

Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
At least 5 years' experience in financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Sound knowledge of IFRS, AASB, ATO obligations and Australian corporate tax.
Hands-on experience with BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax and WorkCover compliance.
Strong payroll knowledge, including superannuation and employee entitlements.
Experience with audits, internal controls and corporate governance frameworks.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems and BI tools.
Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure.

Desired Qualifications

CPA qualification desirable.
