Responsibilities

Oversee daily facility operations and ensure effective functioning of building services and utilities.
Develop and execute maintenance programs to maximize asset reliability.
Manage service providers and annual maintenance contracts.
Ensure optimal operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, fire protection, and power backup systems.
Monitor facility performance indicators and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage infrastructure requirements for specialized laboratory environments.
Coordinate equipment installation, relocation, maintenance, and calibration.
Support laboratory expansion, refurbishment, and new facility development projects.
Manage high-tension and low-tension electrical systems, transformers, and backup power systems.
Drive energy efficiency and sustainability programs.
Oversee HVAC equipment, ventilation systems, and other mechanical utilities.
Manage building automation and electronic systems, including access control and CCTV.
Lead facility renovation, expansion, and fit-out projects.
Review technical specifications, drawings, and project execution plans.
Support procurement activities by evaluating technical proposals.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain facility asset registers.
Lead, coach, and develop facility engineers and technicians.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
8-15 years of experience in facility management, engineering operations, technical services, or infrastructure management.
Experience managing office facilities, engineering infrastructure, and specialized laboratory environments.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems, utility management, and maintenance strategies.
Understanding of workplace safety requirements, regulatory compliance, and risk management practices.
Experience managing service providers, contractors, maintenance programs, and operational budgets.
Ability to lead multiple priorities, projects, and stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Desired Qualifications

Advanced qualification in Business Administration, Facility Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Professional certifications related to facilities management, safety, energy management, or project management.
Experience managing large-scale technical laboratories, research facilities, or industrial campuses.
Knowledge of energy conservation programs, sustainability initiatives, and environmental management practices.
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), facility analytics, and technology-enabled operations.
Exposure to capital project planning, infrastructure expansion, and facility modernization programs.
Experience developing and managing operational and capital budgets.
