Moody's Corporation is seeking an Exposure Modelling Summer Intern for an on-site role in Noida, India. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of Moody’s Exposure Models.
  • Support the research, design, and implementation of exposure modeling methodologies.
  • Conduct primary research and analysis for model development and validation.
  • Develop an understanding of Moody’s products, analytical techniques, and methodologies.
  • Research, evaluate, and analyze datasets for exposure development globally.
  • Assist in developing valuation models for buildings and infrastructure assets.
  • Research and analyze property insurance markets and exposure landscapes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance exposure data and modeling.
  • Document research findings, methodologies, and analytical insights.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Master's or Ph.D. degree from an accredited university in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Urban Planning, Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on IT skills, in particular knowledge of R, Python, or SQL.
  • Interest in the social and cultural contexts that guide growth and development.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to investigate and solve problems.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Interest in Catastrophic Risk Modelling and Property Insurance Industry.
  • Basic understanding of AI concepts (Generative AI tools and Agentic AI systems).
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency.
  • Willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of building construction practices across different countries would be an advantage.
