Emerson is looking for an Engineer - Flow Proposals in Pune, India. This hybrid role involves technical review of bids, proposal generation, and customer liaison, requiring 2-5 years of experience in Sales Support engineering with knowledge of flow products. BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform technical review of customer’s project bid package.
Participate in internal project strategy discussions and convert plans into specific Offerings.
Perform sizing and enter quote proposals in business systems, sending quotes and related documents to customers.
Generate engineering specifications based on customer’s flow metering requirements.
Translate customer’s project documentation requirements to specific quotable items.
Liaise with EMR divisions/factories on customer’s special requirements (inspection scope, packing specs, special testing/certification).
Develop final formal proposal packages.
Follow project bid submission procedure.
Maintain high quality standards on proposal deliverables.
Prepare post-order documentation, including cleaning documents, resolving customer comments, and timely submission.
Attend internal project execution meetings to understand customer requirements and act accordingly.
Procure buyouts and coordinate with vendors.
Meet project schedules.
Maintain a log of key metrics for projects and proposals.
Perform other responsibilities as required by the manager.

Requirements

Minimum 2 - 5 years’ experience in Sales Support engineering.
Clear understanding of basic working principles of Flow products (Coriolis, USM, Flexim, Vortex, Magmeter).
Excellent Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF skills.
Ability to act decisively in evolving situations.
Ability to adjust communication content and style to meet the needs of diverse partners.
Ability to keep the end in sight and put in extra effort to meet deadlines.
Ability to analyze multiple and diverse sources of information to define problems accurately.
Ability to observe situational and group dynamics and select best-fit approach.

Desired Qualifications

BE /B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering from a reputed institute.
Post-Graduation (ME, M Tech) in Instrumentation Engineering.
