Responsibilities
- Direct and lead financial reporting for North America in accordance with Emerson Corporate Policies & Procedures, US GAAP and local accounting standards.
- Establish and monitor necessary accounting systems, practices and internal controls.
- Direct overall financial planning and analysis activities for North America, including monitoring financial results, analyzing variances, and preparing forecasts.
- Lead preparation of quarterly financial forecast and present plan to President and CFO of PRM.
- Work with NA Sales and Operations leaders to set long-term financial plans.
- Lead annual budget process for NA World Area and ensure linkage between site-level plans and financial commitments.
- Act as a consultant and trusted advisor to the management team, recommending alternative courses of action.
- Conduct site visits to NA locations 1-2 times per year.
- Direct completion of North America Internal Control Questionnaires (ICQ).
- Advise plant management and business unit leaders on financial objectives, policies, and actions.
- Drive a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement within the NA Finance function.
- Partner and collaborate with NA Sales and Operations continuously to achieve financial targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years progressive experience, including leadership of Financial Planning and Analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- High standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
- Experience managing and developing direct reports, with strong leadership and team development skills
- Intellectually curious with a demonstrated ability to work hands-on with team members
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided.
Desired Qualifications
- MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred
- Prior Emerson experience preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
