Atlas Copco Group is seeking a Design Engineer in Padova, Italy, to support their R&D team with CAD design, component development, and documentation. The role requires a Master's degree in mechanical engineering, at least two years of experience in design, castings, machining, and CAD software, and fluency in Italian and English.

Responsibilities

2D/3D CAD design and development of specifications and drawings.
Preparation of production release documents (electro-pneumatic diagrams, assembly information, data sheets, testing information, CE dossier).
Participate in component development from design to production, ensuring compliance with requirements (cost, manufacturability, assemblability).
Ensure product compliance with current regulations (environmental, safety).
Maintain drawings, BOM, and related documents.
Support drafting machine use and maintenance manuals and spare parts books.
Cooperate with T&I and engineering departments and their Project Leaders.
Cooperate with other Local Corporate departments and their Project Leaders for project development.
Support Team Leader Labo during tests and in preparing reports for prototype tests.

Requirements

Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing company.
At least 2 years of experience in designing, castings, and machining.
At least 2 years of experience using CAD and Solidworks for manufacturing products.
Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
Strong attention to details and data analysis skills.
Proactive and able to successfully work in a team.
Good command of Microsoft 365 applications and AI technologies.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
Fluent in Italian and good command of English (spoken and written) is essential.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with mobile diesel engines is considered a plus.
