In short

Microsoft is seeking a Data Center Project Manager (DCPM) to oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects within live datacenter environments. This role requires strict adherence to safety and operational standards, managing relationships between various teams and external vendors to ensure successful project completion on time and within scope.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end project execution for datacenter initiatives from intake through close-out.
Build and manage project plans, schedules, milestones, and dependencies.
Execute projects in live production datacenters adhering to safety, security, and change-management standards.
Recognize and communicate potential customer impact of operational events.
Act as the single coordination point between Datacenter Operations, Engineering, Construction, IT/Network teams, vendors, integrators, and contractors.
Proactively identify and mitigate schedule, technical, safety, and operational risks.
Perform troubleshooting for service incidents and escalate appropriately to meet SLAs and OLAs.
Track project costs and resource utilization, contributing to keeping work within approved budgets and timelines.

Requirements

High School Qualification or equivalent.
Experience supporting IT equipment or related technology OR delivering server and network deployment projects in large-scale environments OR equivalent experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's or Technical College Degree in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field AND experience in working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling) OR High School Qualification or equivalent AND experience working in physical IT infrastructures (e.g., Servers, SANs, Networking, Capacity, DC Rack/Enclosures, structured cabling) OR equivalent experience.
Applicable certifications: APICS/Inventory Control, CompTIA, Microsoft, Network Certifications, CDCP, CCNA Certifications, ITIL, Microsoft Operations Framework (MOF) Certifications.
