In short

This role focuses on driving business-led compliance and risk management across India and South Asia. The Compliance Manager will foster a culture of compliance by implementing monitoring and testing frameworks, identifying and evaluating risks, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure effective controls and remediation.

Responsibilities

Supports the adoption of a Business Trust & Accountability framework and implements global compliance initiatives.
Establishes and maintains the monitoring and testing framework, including controls, scope, and methodology.
Reviews testing results and metrics to assess effectiveness and promotes accountability for remediation.
Facilitates key monitoring processes, contributes to risk assessments, and ensures controls are implemented and operating effectively.
Identifies and evaluates risks related to sales deal execution and collaborates with stakeholders to implement risk management measures.
Partners with the business to support effective due diligence and oversight of third parties.
Acts as the compliance manager for the EPS and GCPS segments in India & SA, owning processes and controls for the partner ecosystem and guiding on partner escalations.
Works with Partner Engagement Managers, Asia Partner Compliance experts and leadership to shape decisions.
Helps EPS and GCPS teams own compliance through the compliance champ network, partner training, and regular reviews.
Utilizes and promotes available compliance learning resources and supports the development of local compliance champions.
Supports the implementation of compliance policies and processes through training and awareness programs.
Leverages AI and automation tools for data analysis and actionable insights to prioritize compliance efforts.
Simplifies, automates, or streamlines processes to improve operational efficiency.
Identifies, assesses, and addresses emerging or region-specific compliance risks.
Supports internal audit activities and collaborates with management to develop and track remediation plans.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field AND 6+ years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, internal controls, risk management, financial compliance, or a related area OR equivalent experience.
Experience collaborating with stakeholders across multiple geographic regions and cross-functional teams.
Good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate across teams.
Professional proficiency in English.
Working knowledge of compliance, internal controls, and risk management principles.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field AND 10+ years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, internal controls, risk management, financial compliance, or a related area OR Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field AND 8+ years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, internal controls, risk management, financial compliance, or a related area OR equivalent experience.
Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or an equivalent credential.
Experience in the technology industry, online services industry, or other similarly complex and regulated environments.
Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and evaluating internal controls, compliance programs, and enterprise risk management frameworks.
