As an Assembler I on the 1st shift in Richmond, you will assemble gasket plate heat exchangers using tools and blueprints. Key duties include performing quality checks, documenting processes, and collaborating with teams to ensure product quality and organizational success.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble gasket plate heat exchangers using tools and instructions (diagrams, blueprints).
  • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
  • Complete production forms, reports, and record assembly data.
  • Receive daily work assignments and execute production according to Standard Operating Procedures and blueprints.
  • Report deviations (Safety, Quality, Parts, Equipment) and participate in Daily Status Board Meetings.
  • Suggest improvements for Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Identify and drive waste elimination opportunities and KAIZEN improvements.
  • Participate in daily & weekly 5S routines.
  • Seek cross-training opportunities within different manufacturing processes.
  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using lifts.

Requirements

  • Ability to assemble products or components using tools and instructions (diagrams, blueprints).
  • Proficiency in performing quality checks.
  • Skills in documenting processes and completing production forms.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teams.
  • Experience with repetitive tasks.
  • Willingness to report deviations and actively participate in team meetings.
  • Proactive in identifying waste elimination opportunities.
  • Commitment to maintaining 5S standards.
  • Desire for cross-training and learning new processes.
  • Ability to lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using lifts.
  • Prioritize candidates who reside in the US or have an established presence in the area.
