Synopsys is looking for a Sr. ASIC Digital Design Engineer in Bengaluru, India. This role involves designing and developing semiconductor solutions, working with formal verification methodologies, and contributing to the quality and reliability of IP and EDA tools. A Master's degree in a related engineering discipline and 0-2 years of experience are required.

Responsibilities

Learn and apply formal verification methodology to live projects.
Execute validation as per defined plans with seasoned FV engineers.
Support quality improvements and enhance verification tool capabilities.
Write and refine assertions in SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA).
Script verification flows using Python, Perl, or Tcl in Unix/Linux environments.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
0 to 2 years of experience in digital design, verification, or related semiconductor work.
Strong understanding of computer architecture and digital design fundamentals.
Hands-on experience with Verilog or SystemVerilog.
Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, or Tcl) and comfort in Unix/Linux environments.
Solid academic performance with relevant coursework or project work.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with formal verification tools, assertion languages, or model checking is a strong plus.
Ability to look at a block diagram or RTL code and ask critical questions about potential issues.
Comfortable learning new tools and methodologies independently.
Clear communication skills for reporting bugs or issues.
Detail-oriented approach to tracking down logic errors.
