Sandvik Coromant is seeking a customer-focused Sales Engineer/Account Manager for Central Indiana, specifically the Indianapolis and Muncie markets. This role involves using technical expertise in CNC machining and tooling applications to build customer relationships, drive sales, and identify new business opportunities. A degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience, along with hands-on technical skills, is required.

Responsibilities

  • Consult on CNC machining and tooling applications using technical expertise.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Deliver the full Coromant product and service offering.
  • Identify new business opportunities and grow market share.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver total customer solutions.
  • Maintain and optimize opportunities using CRM tools for tracking, forecasting, and follow-up.

Requirements

  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and cutting tools.
  • Proven success, or ability to succeed, in technical sales and/or customer facing roles.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 10% overnight).

Desired Qualifications

  • Background in aerospace, defense, and/or high volume automotive manufacturing a plus.
