Cisco IT is looking for a dynamic Software Engineer with great technical leadership skills, and is eager to drive innovation in one of the most groundbreaking software and licensing business enablement platforms, and will be responsible for the following:

  • Develops information systems by designing, developing, and installing software solutions.
  • Sustained, successful trajectory (at least 5 years) in software development & in leading or supporting the execution of software-focused groundbreaking initiatives in large organizations
  • Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Develops software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, and studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes.
  • Investigates problem areas.
  • Follows the software development lifecycle.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  • Prepares and installs solutions by determining and crafting system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Improves operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Obtains and licenses software by acquiring required information from vendors, recommending purchases, and testing and approving products.
  • Maintain the quality of the application with unit coverage, 0 vulnerabilities and performant
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently share vision & roadmap to internal/external audiences
  • You will report to a manager within the IT Product space.
  • You will work closely with partners and IT leaders on strengthening the core of our commercial and software licensing platforms aligned with the transformation efforts.
  • You will influence customers, partners, vendors, and peer IT team members to build trust and drive innovation.
  • Worked extensively with SOAP, RESTful Web Services, JSON
  • Server-side software development experience using Java/J2EE and/or other comparable Object-Oriented technologies.
  • Expertise in building large-scale systems using fault-tolerant technologies (such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Oracle, CockroachDB, & Apache Kafka).
  • Continuous Integration using Jenkins and deploying the application code across Open Shift environments.
  • Experience in Cloud technologies, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Able to define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for a Release to ensure the system or Solution under development is fit for its intended purpose.
  • Experience with deployment, continuous delivery, infrastructure management, software quality assurance (documentation, unit testing, test automation, security analysis, and code reviews).
  • Experience with developing reporting interfaces, data feeds, and/or data visualizations for business & partner consumption.
