Vattenfall is seeking a Working Student to support Business Controlling for their Solar & Batteries unit within the Wind Business Area in Berlin. The role focuses on risk management, quality assurance of documentation, and planning risk assessments for hybrid projects, offering hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities

  • Support the risk management process: identification, assessment, and proactive management of the risk register.
  • Ensure the risk register is kept up-to-date according to ISO31000:2018.
  • Integrate Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) for Cost and Schedule in the project, and assist management in interpreting results.
  • Track open actions, due dates, and escalation triggers to ensure timely closure and documentation.
  • Maintain templates, checklists, and process documentation, and continuously improve the "Work in Smart & Independence" process.
  • Support reporting, including weekly/monthly status updates, risk manager reports, and preparation of management-ready materials.
  • Provide occasional on-site support for hybrid construction sites, workshops/audits, and coordination.

Requirements

  • Strong research skills and interest in the renewable energy industry.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor/Master's program with at least one year remaining in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a similar field.
  • German language proficiency at B2 level.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform structured quality checks.
  • Good organizational and communication skills, demonstrating reliability, self-dependency, follow-up abilities, and stakeholder coordination.

Desired Qualifications

  • First exposure to risk management, quality management, audits, or finance controls.
  • Experience with risk registers, issue trackers, or document control systems (e.g., SharePoint).
