Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, monitor, and adjust wastewater treatment plants.
- Ensure compliance with State, Federal, and local laws and regulations.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on treatment plant equipment, pump stations, and booster stations.
- Conduct laboratory testing, sample analysis, and report generation.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures for equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshoot and repair process control systems and equipment.
- Perform general housekeeping and grounds maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software (email, Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of inventory procedures.
- Knowledge of chemical hazards and safety policies.
- Knowledge of NPDES permit tests and process control tests.
- Familiarity with disinfection processes (ultraviolet, chlorination, dechlorination).
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation components.
- Skilled in laboratory techniques and sample handling.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, charts, and graphs.
- Ability to identify and correct process upsets.
- Valid non-commercial vehicle operator's license.
Desired Qualifications
- Wastewater Operator's license (preferred but not required).
Benefits
- 2nd shift position (Monday-Thursday 4:00pm to 2:30am).
- Overtime as required.
