We are seeking a Test Engineering intern to assist with the design of automated test systems. Responsibilities include designing PCBs, developing production test code, qualifying instruments, and analyzing test data. A BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science is required.
Responsibilities
- Designing or revising custom printed circuit boards to be used in a test fixture
- Developing production test code for the next generation of NI products
- Qualifying instruments for use in a Test application to be deployed to Manufacturing
- Analyzing production test data to look for trends which indicate the health of the product and/or test solution
Requirements
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role
Desired Qualifications
- Prior Emerson Intern/Co-op Experience
- understanding of High-level programming languages (e.g. LabVIEW, TestStand, Python)
- understanding of Analog signal considerations
- understanding of Sources of measurement error
- understanding of Appropriate selection of instrumentation
- understanding of Statistical analysis of data
- understanding of Integration of hardware and software
- Hands-on experience with electronic hardware
- Experience with high frequency circuit design, RF and wireless communication is highly desirable
