Responsibilities
- Drive sales of premier brands focusing on the wholesale channel (distributors, builders, developers, showrooms).
- Retain and grow established accounts while developing and closing new businesses.
- Focus on existing customers initially, building credibility, trust, and strong relationships.
- Shift focus to generating new opportunities and strengthening market share by year two.
- Assume management of established direct customer accounts.
- Grow market share through wholesalers by utilizing upgrade strategies and converting competitor customers.
- Develop and execute territory strategies focused on gaining share and maintaining existing business.
- Develop and execute market-specific strategies to expand offerings within key accounts.
- Take a consultative approach, understand client needs, and deliver tailored proposals.
- Give strong and stimulating customer-specific presentations that inspire action.
Requirements
- 3+ years of successful sales experience, ideally in the construction industry.
- Proven experience calling on wholesale distributors, builders, showrooms, and architects.
- A strong work ethic, hunter mentality, love of sales, and the drive to get out in the field daily.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to use a consultative sales approach.
- A customer-centric orientation and excellent relationship building skills.
- Superb interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Initiative, drive, and out-of-the box thinking.
- P&L management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as Salesforce.com.
