ABB is seeking a Technical Service Specialist for Gearless Mill Drives in Baden, Switzerland. Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and solve problems via remote or on-site service, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, back-office engineering, and consulting.
- Investigate customer needs through professional consulting and manage customer relationships.
- Act as a 24/7 support line for one complete week approximately every two months.
- Proactively suggest product and quality improvements to the ABB organization.
- Provide technical consulting on Service solutions to management and customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as an electrical engineer, product specialist, or in a similar technical role, preferably within the power electronics sector.
- Collaborative, solution-focused approach with effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration across departments and with customers.
- Attention to detail for product conformity, accurate technical documentation, and adherence to quality standards.
- Fluency in English.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in other languages such as Spanish is a plus.
