Saab is seeking a Strategic Technology Lead to connect strategy, technology, and execution for their Polaris strategy, focusing on software, data, and AI. You will lead key initiatives, align stakeholders across the organization, and drive tangible results, transforming opportunities into outcomes for immediate business value and long-term capability development.

Responsibilities

Lead and orchestrate Polaris Frontrunner engagements from qualification through execution and value realization.
Create alignment between Business Units, Frontrunner teams, and Common Tech to ensure progress towards shared objectives.
Coordinate Common Tech contributions, maintain the Frontrunner roadmap, and secure commitments from relevant delivery teams.
Drive the follow-up of deliveries, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and obstacles to maintain momentum.
Facilitate planning activities, governance forums, and decision-making processes across multiple stakeholders.
Communicate progress, priorities, and escalation needs to leadership, while advocating for Frontrunner objectives across Common Tech.

Requirements

An academic degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
A background in R&D, working with the development of complex software-intensive products and systems.
Experience from product development environments within industrial or other technically advanced organizations.
Experience leading initiatives in matrix or decentralized organizations, where success depends on influencing and aligning stakeholders across multiple teams.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
The ability to bridge technology and business, translating technical challenges and opportunities into strategic direction and business value.
Professional proficiency in English.
Ability to pass a security vetting.
