Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support a world-class OpenSearch platform managing thousands of search domains.
- Contribute to both open source code and managed service platform.
- Work with senior engineers to deliver components of the entire stack.
- Focus on scalability, performance, service robustness, and cost trade-offs in a cloud environment.
- Apply scientific analysis and mathematical modeling to predict and evaluate designs and platform success.
- Continuously explore, improve, enhance, automate, and optimize distributed systems and tools.
- Work with a dedicated operations team to support 24x7 worldwide service operations.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems).
Desired Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
