This role involves designing, developing, and testing scalable distributed systems for labor management, ingesting billions of events annually using AWS technologies, stream processing, and AI/ML. Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test software components for labor event ingestion, aggregation, reporting, and configuration.
Build new services using AI-assisted development practices with tools like Amazon Q and Bedrock.
Design large-scale data processing solutions using DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, S3, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, Lambda, and stream processing frameworks (Cosmos/Flink).
Drive service consolidation and modernization, migrating from legacy infrastructure to Native AWS (NAWS) with full CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in the definition and application of coding standards in code and design reviews.
Provide estimates for development tasks and negotiate timelines with project leaders.
Mentor junior team members and help them acquire critical skills and best practices.
Document and communicate technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.
Participate in deep technical discussions and advocate for sound technical solutions.
Identify and mitigate technical and project risks.

Requirements

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling of new and existing systems).
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Commitment to teamwork, hustle, and strong communication skills.
Customer-centricity and motivation for building systems that operate at global scale.

Desired Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
