ABB is seeking a Senior Verification Engineer in Helsinki, Finland to join their High Power division. The role involves executing R&D and type tests for new frequency converters, building test setups, and supporting problem-solving. This is an on-site position requiring a degree in Electrical Engineering and experience in testing frequency converters.

Responsibilities

Executing R&D and type tests for new frequency converters
Building test setups, executing and reporting tests
Supporting problem solving of frequency converter hardware and software related issues
Working in close co-operation with different design teams, approval engineers and authorities

Requirements

M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
Proven experience in the testing of frequency converters, electrical installation, commissioning or industrial automation systems
Good spoken and written skills in Finnish and English are necessary
Willingness for occasional travelling
A proactive working attitude

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of Frequency converter design and control
Knowledge of PLCs and process automation
Knowledge of EMC testing
Knowledge of Product safety standards of frequency converters
Capability and interest in training and coaching other people
