Nordea is seeking a Senior or Expert Market Connectivity & Equity Trading Analyst in Stockholm to develop and maintain trading solutions for exchange-traded listed products across Nordic markets. The role involves translating business needs into technical requirements, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring solutions are fit for purpose, resilient, and compliant with regulations. This is a hybrid role requiring at least 5 years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of capital markets and trading lifecycles.

Responsibilities

Analyze and clarify business, functional, and non-functional requirements for exchange-traded listed products.
Translate business needs into solution requirements, process flows, interface specifications, and user stories.
Act as a subject-matter expert for order management systems (OMS), trading workflows, execution venues, and FIX-based connectivity.
Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on solution design and integration patterns.
Coordinate impact assessments and dependencies across applications, teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
Plan and support various testing phases, including analysis of defects and production issues.
Contribute to operational stability through incident and problem analysis, and root-cause investigation.
Ensure requirements and solutions consider regulatory obligations, information security, and operational risk.
Drive stakeholder alignment, facilitate workshops, and communicate complex topics clearly.
Mentor colleagues and share domain knowledge.

Requirements

At least 5 years of relevant experience as an IT analyst, business analyst, system analyst, or similar role within banking, financial services, or capital markets.
Strong knowledge of exchange-traded listed products and the end-to-end trading lifecycle.
Hands-on understanding of order management systems (OMS), order routing, execution workflows, and exchange or broker connectivity.
Solid knowledge of the FIX protocol, including common order, execution, and session-management concepts.
Experience working across business and technology teams in complex implementation or transformation initiatives.
Experience supporting testing, implementation, production readiness, and analysis of incidents or defects in business-critical systems.
Basic working knowledge of Java and Python, with the ability to use scripting for analysis, troubleshooting, and task automation.

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with trading platforms such as Ullink, Front Arena, or Bloomberg.
Experience with Nordic or European markets, trading venues, market data, or post-trade integrations.
Understanding of APIs, messaging, SQL, event-driven integration, or other technologies commonly used in trading platforms.
Worked with agile delivery methods, product-oriented teams, CI/CD practices, monitoring, or observability tools.
Experience with vendor platforms and internally developed trading applications.
Ability to contribute to solution design discussions and explain trade-offs involving functionality, resilience, performance, and operational support.
