Responsibilities
- Lead the Health & Safety strategy and transformation roadmap across Australia and New Zealand.
- Partner with operational leaders to strengthen safety leadership and accountability.
- Simplify and enhance safety systems, governance and reporting.
- Lead incident investigations and drive effective corrective actions.
- Oversee workers' compensation and return-to-work programs.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Manage safety audits, compliance frameworks and regulatory engagement.
- Oversee technician licensing, competency and compliance management.
- Build capability across the organisation through coaching and consultation.
- Lead and develop a small Health & Safety team while influencing stakeholders.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Health & Safety leadership experience in a multi-site operational environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading safety transformation and organisational change.
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing audits, governance frameworks, investigations and compliance programs.
- Experience managing workers' compensation and return-to-work outcomes.
- Experience overseeing workforce compliance programs, licenses, competencies and training requirements.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and drive operational ownership of safety.
Desired Qualifications
- Return-to-Work Coordinator training and ISO 45001 experience will be highly regarded.
