Senior Designer with a background in mechanical design engineering, ideally in the semiconductor and medical industries. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, developing prototypes, mentoring junior designers, and ensuring seamless integration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and refine design requirements.
Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept implementations.
Mentor and train junior designers.
Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, product management) to ensure design integration.
Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to establish design quality metrics.

Requirements

Background in mechanical design engineering.
Experience in the semiconductor and medical industries preferred.
Proficient in SolidWorks CAD software (3D modeling, sheet metal, 2D drawing, assembly).
Familiar with conceptual design of mechanical subsystems.
Experience with sheet metal, machined parts, and weldments.
Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
Strong experience with engineering change orders (ECOs).
Understanding of manufacturing processes and feasibility.
Experience with technical documentation (work instructions, testing procedures, assembly instructions).
Disciplined, team-oriented, capable of working independently, and results-driven.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficient in Product Design Principles and Techniques with a strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly.
Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standards.
Experience with design software such as Solidworks, Autocad, or similar tools.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Desired Qualifications

Good exposure on static and dynamic simulations in SolidWorks is a plus.
Knowledge of harness and tube routing in SolidWorks is an added advantage.
Good knowledge on Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and design excellence are added advantages.
Certified Solidworks Professional (CSWP) or similar design-related certifications are optional but valuable.
