Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate CNC machines for tasks like routing, profiling, folding, and cutting.
- Read and interpret customer and mechanical drawings to understand specifications.
- Translate instructions into computer commands for machine operation.
- Resolve discrepancies with shop drawings to ensure product fit for purpose.
- Set machines for full cycles and monitor them during operation, making necessary adjustments.
- Create and implement routine maintenance checklists and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Inspect and measure finished products against requirements.
- Maintain machinery daily for optimal functionality.
- Ensure workplace health and safety, following procedures and reporting unsafe practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC operator in a manufacturing environment (ideally building industry products - wood and metal).
- Demonstrated skills in operating CNC machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
- Understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
- Mechanical aptitude and good analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task and well-developed problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good team player with integrity, interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and independently.

- Exposure to Biesse Works/Solid will be advantageous.
