Sandvik Rock Processing is seeking a Product Specialist for Crushing Solutions to cover Central Africa. This role involves promoting crushing products, providing technical assistance to customers, and supporting aftermarket sales. The ideal candidate will have a background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in the mining industry, specifically with crushing and screening operations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer training and technical services support for crushing products.
Assist customers' installation, erection, maintenance, and repair teams.
Promote Crushing Solutions equipment and aftermarket sales.
Conduct equipment condition, performance, and process audits.
Identify and work with customers on optimization projects and upgrade opportunities.
Drive and implement 'Connected' equipment programs and digital solutions.
Identify remote monitoring opportunities with key customers.
Ensure work is carried out according to set budgets and timeframes.
Maintain accurate installed base information in the database.
Adhere to all Sandvik policies, especially health, safety, and environmental policies.
Stay up-to-date with new crushing equipment and upgrades.

Requirements

Mechanical or Electrical Engineer degree, or Electrical trade with relevant equipment technical experience.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Mining Industry.
Experience with Crushing & Screening.
Competence in electronics and instrumentation.
Knowledge of Crushing and Screening operations (surface and underground).
Proven understanding of crushing & screening plants & process flow.
Strong business sense and EHS focus.
Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and people management skills.
Proficiency in spreadsheets and other MS Office applications.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide guidance.
Self-motivated, performance-based, and requires no supervision.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Valid passport and willingness to travel frequently within Africa without restrictions.
Ability to assist other territories within Africa as needed.

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of Sandvik equipment including ASRi/ACS systems is an added advantage.
