We are seeking a Principal Business System Analyst to join Emerson in Chennai. This role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT for the implementation of Oracle Primavera Unifier and P6, focusing on the Quote-to-Cash lifecycle. The analyst will gather requirements, analyze processes, and drive system capabilities to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

Serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders, Project Managers, Enterprise IT teams, and development resources for the implementation and enhancement of the Integrated Project Management System (iPMS) using Oracle Primavera Unifier and P6.
Gather and document business requirements, analyze business processes, and translate functional needs into technical solutions.
Conduct workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and process reviews.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Quote-to-Cash process.
Act as the primary liaison between business users and developers.
Support solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and user acceptance activities.
Drive development teams toward timely completion of project modules, milestones, and deliverables.
Track project progress, manage action items, identify risks and dependencies, and escalate issues.
Monitor implementation schedules and provide regular status reports.
Support integration requirements involving enterprise applications, reporting platforms, and workflow systems.
Validate delivered solutions against business requirements and coordinate defect resolution.
Develop process documentation, business procedures, training materials, and user guides.
Facilitate user training, system adoption, and change management activities.
Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.
Support governance, reporting, and data quality initiatives.

Requirements

Engineering Degree in any discipline
8+ years’ experience in Project / Product Management or as a Business Analyst
Experience with SQL, Power Bi, Tableau
Experience in any ERP Software (Preferably Oracle & SAP)
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.

Desired Qualifications

Certification in PGP/PGDM in Data Analytics/Business Analytics/Data Science and Engineering/AI/ML is an added advantage.
Knowledge in Agile / Scrum, Critical Thinking Skills or Techniques.
Certification in SAFe POPM, Human Centric Design preferred.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Primavera P6 and Primavera Unifier
Exposure to Process Industry
Good knowledge in Power Platforms, Azure DevOps.
Good Knowledge in MS Office
