Alstom seeks a Planning Engineer in Hong Kong to develop project execution plans, monitor progress, and coordinate complex projects. The role requires 2-6 years of planning experience in Civil/E&M/QS Engineering or Construction, with proficiency in MS Office, Primavera P6, and MS Project. This is a full-time, on-site position focused on driving process improvements and contributing to sustainable mobility solutions.

Responsibilities

Create Project Execution Plans, deciding on engineering techniques and milestone sequences.
Set targets for project activities and ensure they meet client specifications.
Make estimations for timescales using specialized design software.
Monitor day-to-day work progress and provide weekly/monthly reports on delays.
Track and analyze field results, comparing planned vs. actual progress.
Study the impact of alternative approaches and identify critical paths.
Propose delay recovery measures and support preparation of records for delay events.
Perform Project Coordination, overseeing planning, inventory, team leadership, and project management.
Ensure complex projects are handled on time and on budget.
Direct the daily workload of subordinate team members and provide status updates.
Manage overall project communications.
Review monthly client reports and Alstom's internal reports with the project team.
Optimize signaling project programs, resequencing proposals, and productivity improvements.
Drive continuous process improvement by identifying performance gaps and planning activities.
Provide guidance and deliver schedules to facilitate project execution strategy.

Requirements

2-6 years of Planning experience in Civil/E&M/QS Engineering background or Construction industry.
Basic knowledge of engineering science and technology.
Basic knowledge of building and construction.
Willing to learn and competently use MS Office, Primavera P6, and MS Project.
Willing to accept criticism and work under pressure.
Analytical, Initiative, Persistent, Determined, Attention to detail.
