Responsibilities

  • Interface with R&D teams globally to identify and develop patentable inventions in antenna technology.
  • Manage your own patent docket with accuracy and precision.
  • Conduct claim charting and technical analysis.
  • Handle invention disclosures and contribute to portfolio strategy.
  • Support in-house patent drafting and prosecution activities.
  • Act as a bridge between patent attorneys and R&D teams on technical matters.
  • Stay up to date with developments in European and international patent law, telecom standards and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate across legal, technical and business functions in an international, cross-functional team.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of antenna technology (or closely related electromagnetic technologies) — either through professional experience, research background, or technical expertise.
  • A Master's degree in engineering, physics, computer science or related field.
  • Either (partial) qualification as a European or German Patent Attorney OR strong hands-on technical experience with genuine interest in patents and motivation to develop IPR expertise.
  • Solid understanding of telecommunication technologies.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills, a keen eye for detail and ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
  • Substantial on-site availability at our Rosenheim location.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in patent portfolio management.
  • Hands-on patent drafting and prosecution experience.
  • Knowledge of other telecommunication areas.
  • Familiarity with AI-based drafting tools and modern IP workflows.
  • Openness to continuous learning and developing toward full patent attorney responsibilities.
