Responsibilities
- Operate tube mill equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area (5S).
- Cross-train team members on parts programming and mill setups.
- Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on process and equipment.
- Coordinate daily and weekly activities with the department supervisor.
- Perform visual and manual quality checks of finished products.
- Minimize scrap and work with maintenance to resolve issues.
- Document downtime for KPI tracking.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Experience using special measuring devices (micrometer, calipers, tape measure).
- Ability to read set up charts supplied by OEM and interpret them for tooling adjustments.
- Ability to change out cut off jaws, blades, and refill oil levels.
- Demonstrated ability to meet negotiated time frames of scheduling.
- Ability to document downtime through a reporting system.
- Good communication skills with coworkers and material handlers.
- Ability to think and react to schedule changes and mill conditions.
- Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in using special measuring devices.
- Ability to interpret OEM setup charts for roll tooling adjustments.
