TRATON is seeking a Master Thesis Student to conduct a case study on the total cost of ownership for classic, electrified, and e-fuel drivetrains. The role involves data compilation and evaluation using Excel, Python, and Matlab, and requires proficiency in English and Swedish.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a case study on the total cost of ownership, comparing classic, electrified, and e-fuel drivetrain vehicles.
  • Find relevant information, contact suppliers/producers, and compile internal company data.
  • Evaluate data using Matlab, Excel, and Python.
  • Write up the thesis and present it orally at Scania and the grading university.

Requirements

  • Master student with a major in engineering economics, energy sciences or environmental engineering (energy focus) or similar.
  • Educated in engineering economics and energy sciences.
  • Understanding of and interest in cost optimization and trade-offs in technical development.
  • Interest in the economic part of engineering and personal traits enabling smooth producer and supplier contacts.
  • Fundamentally knowledgeable of Matlab.
  • Highly knowledgeable on Excel and Python.
  • Proficient in Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of German is considered an advantage.
