Responsibilities

Lead and grow a software development team, owning the team's charter, vision, and roadmap.
Ensure alignment with broader organizational goals and deliver high-quality, maintainable software systems.
Define and prioritize the team's product and architectural direction over a one-to-two year horizon.
Partner with stakeholders and peer teams to sequence deliverables and resolve competing priorities.
Coach, mentor, and develop engineers across multiple levels.
Drive system design decisions that account for scalability, performance, security, and operational excellence.
Create mechanisms to inspect service quality and customer experience through meaningful metrics.
Manage program execution across complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Identify risks early, remove roadblocks, and communicate progress clearly.

Requirements

7+ years of engineering experience
3+ years of engineering team management experience
8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Bachelor's degree

Desired Qualifications

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers.
