Google is looking for a Lead Technical Program Manager for Network Delivery in Bengaluru or Hyderabad. This role involves managing complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects, focusing on network infrastructure delivery, security, reliability, and scalability. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage vendors, and ensure the efficient operation of one of the world's largest enterprise networks.
Responsibilities
- Manage and drive the development and delivery of enterprise network engineering products, leveraging automation and software programs by coordinating with global delivery teams.
- Partner with Network Engineers, Software Engineers, and Project Managers to deliver large technical networking projects.
- Develop reports to track scope, schedule, budget, risks, and overall project status; coordinate with stakeholders to manage, track, and control project issues.
- Work with management to design and launch new processes, institute process improvements, and ensure the efficient/reliable achievement of process objectives.
- Manage third-party vendors responsible for the monitoring and troubleshooting of network services, including facilitating any escalations requiring engineering assistance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program management.
- 5 years of experience in leadership role with/without direct reports.
- Experience in technical program management.
- Experience in a people management or team leadership role.
- Experience in technical program management for network infrastructure delivery.
Desired Qualifications
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
- Experience with network certifications such as PMP, Agile project management, BICSI RCDD, BICSI RTPM, CCDE, CCNP, or CCIE.
- Experience designing and facilitating the implementation of networking data centers or colocation facilities.
- Experience managing technical vendors and leading quarterly business reviews.
- Experience working in integrated teams composed of both technical and non-technical members.
