Responsibilities
- Triage high request volumes and process law enforcement information requests.
- Respond lawfully and accurately, ensuring privacy and security of business and customer information.
- Meet urgent SLAs and process emergency requests, including outside normal business hours.
- Communicate with law enforcement officers, Amazon employees, and others.
- Manage and develop a team of associates.
- Coordinate with internal Amazon partner teams to retrieve and validate information.
- Use web-based applications and data-extraction tools.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and process documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and develop automation.
- Assist in identifying patterns and trends from law enforcement requests.
- Handle complex and challenging requests and special projects.
- Sign and issue certificates/letters to authenticate digital evidence.
- Represent Amazon in courts and law enforcement offices as required.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of relevant experience (e.g., law enforcement / regulatory response, legal operations, compliance, trust & safety, or high-volume operations).
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent English-language communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong judgment.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments and managing workload even during times of stress or escalated activity.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities at once.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and manage external stakeholders.
- Experience responding to, or making, requests from law enforcement agencies.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience managing external law enforcement or regulatory communications.
- Familiarity with high-volume operational tools and data systems; comfort with data-retrieval concepts (SQL proficiency is not required).
- Written and/or verbal proficiency in Hindi and/or any other Indian language.
- Background in e-commerce, banking and financial services, or technology companies with trust & safety functions.
- The ability to build trust with law enforcement officers while professionally pushing back.
- Ability to guide officers toward legally compliant intake formats.
- Ability to exercise independent, defensible judgment on complex and novel request types.
- Ability to own outcomes end-to-end and raise the bar for the team through coaching and clear process.
