Responsibilities
- Escalate any serious issues to the Production Team Leader or Production Manager.
- Make decisions to resolve any day to day production issues.
- Work with engineering and other members of the team to reduce lost time due to breakdowns and ensure plant is made available for pre-planned maintenance and projects.
- Actively contribute to problem solves, continuous improvement activities and CAPEX projects to drive the business forward.
- Cleaning/housekeeping to maintain a hygienic and food safe environment, as to be audit ready at all times.
- Ensure that department paperwork is filled out accurately and in full.
- Proactively maintain a safe working environment by raising near misses, risk observations, environmental observations and behavioral safety observations.
- Contribute to completion of risk assessments and standard operating procedures.
- Operate Bagging lines & packing / warehouse
Requirements
- A motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative and make decisions.
- Excellent communication & people skills - ability to build positive working relationships.
- Able to consistently work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines.
- Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving and an eye for detail.
- Excellent attitude towards quality, food safety and health and safety.
- Excellent IT skills, numeracy and literacy.
- Good attention to detail.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or other related manufacturing/scientific environment preferred but not essential.
