As Head of Special Purpose Environments at Saab, you will lead a critical IT area focused on specialized environments, driving modernization through cloud, Infrastructure as Code, and automation. This hybrid role in Sweden involves shaping future operating models, ensuring secure and scalable platforms, and collaborating with stakeholders to enable future business needs.

Responsibilities

Lead, develop, and engage employees and leaders within the area.
Define and drive the strategy and roadmap for Special Purpose Environments.
Drive the transformation from legacy infrastructure to modern on-prem and cloud-based solutions.
Accelerate adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and modern operating practices.
Establish global guardrails, common platforms, and standardized ways of working.
Enable secure and resilient environments supporting R&D, Manufacturing, and Support functions.
Support future digital capabilities through modern infrastructure and platform services.
Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendors, and partners.

Requirements

Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Strong people leadership and talent development skills.
Extensive experience leading infrastructure or platform teams, with responsibility for operational delivery and service performance.
Strong understanding of cloud technologies, hybrid infrastructure, and infrastructure transformation.
Experience driving migration from legacy platforms to modern cloud-enabled environments.
Experience leading the adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and modern infrastructure operating practices.
Understanding of security-sensitive and regulated environments.
Experience supporting R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering, or other specialized business environments.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience from large, complex, and global organizations.
Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Ability to pass security vetting.

Desired Qualifications

Experience from the defence industry is considered an advantage.
Additional obligations regarding citizenship may apply for positions requiring security clearance.
