Ericsson Canada is looking for a Head of Field Services Operations (FSO) to lead Field Service delivery for a Tier 1 customer in North America. This role is responsible for people management, operational and financial performance, customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with SLAs and internal policies.
Responsibilities
- Lead Field Services delivery of a Managed Services contract.
- Manage the complete service delivery for FSO.
- Responsible for the line management of FSO employees and Authorized Service Providers (ASP).
- Ensure positive financial results through cost control and productivity.
- Develop and manage strong customer relationships.
- Support the MSCOO by acting as a customer representative within Ericsson.
- Support Transition and Transformation of the contract.
- Motivate, attract, develop, and retain FSO teams.
- Monitor Operational performance and secure compliance with SLAs.
- Monitor and report financial and operational performances, driving improvement plans.
- Contribute to appropriate Governance layers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably in Electronics, Computer science, Telecommunication, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 20 years’ experience in Telecom industry.
- Proven experience in Field Services Delivery execution for Tier 1 customers.
- Experience with pre-sales and business start-up activities.
- Experience leading large line organizations and a diverse technical workforce across a dispersed geography.
- Experience in the operation of mobile wireless networks, microwave transport, and preferably knowledge of wireline (including fiber).
- Strong understanding of financial processes and practices.
- In-depth knowledge of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), including measurement tools and negotiation skills.
- Experience in project governance, risk management, and ensuring compliance.
- Strong knowledge on Local Laws, Ericsson Policies, Directives, Guidelines and Ericsson’s business environment.
- Excellent English language skills oral and written.
- Preferably also French.
- Strong matrix management abilities and understanding of internal Ericsson organizations.
