Join Qualcomm's R&D center in Sophia Antipolis for a 6-month internship focused on integrating a RISC-V CPU into an existing emulation platform. You will work with cache-coherent interconnects, develop boot code, and utilize hardware emulators like Palladium or Veloce.
Responsibilities
- Integrate Qualcomm's latest RISC-V CPU into the emulation team's existing RTL platform.
- Connect the CPU to a cache-coherent interconnect.
- Reuse or develop boot code in C or assembly for the RISC-V CPU.
- Integrate the RISC-V toolchain into the existing software build flow.
- Compile and validate the platform using an RTL simulator (VCS or ModelSim).
- Compile the platform for Palladium or Veloce hardware emulators.
- Port Arm-based C test cases to the RISC-V platform (bonus).
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Microelectronics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience with Verilog (preferably) or VHDL.
- Ability to quickly react and adapt to changes.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written, in French and English.
Desired Qualifications
- Understand the emulation team’s scope, constraints, and requirements.
- Gain a good understanding of Qualcomm interconnects and their interaction with other system IPs.
- Study the RISC-V architecture.
- Run RTL simulations to debug CPU integration and boot code.
- Validate and debug CPU integration and boot-code execution on hardware emulators.
