Alstom seeks a Finisher in Thunder Bay, ON. This role involves detailed assembly of mechanical, structural, and electrical components according to company specifications, using engineering drawings and instructional sheets. The position offers an hourly wage of $21.27 to $30.38 CAD, plus benefits.

Responsibilities

Perform fine detail assembly of mechanical, structural, and electrical components to Company specifications.
Work from engineering drawings, methods instructional sheets, and interpret quality assurance directives with minimum supervision.
Check installations, correct snags, and adjust doors.
Rivet and assemble sheet metal, tubing, bars, and extrusions.
Install decals on mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies.
May operate a portable spot welder.
Clean commercial products, including washing and applying cleaning compounds.
Perform repetitive operations on upright drills, sanders, grinders, deburring machines, drill sharpeners, and routers.
May operate Rolls, Robot (plasma burning only), or Corner Cropper.
May assist other operators.

Requirements

Capable of fine detail assembly of mechanical, structural, and electrical components.
Ability to work from engineering drawings and methods instructional sheets.
Ability to interpret quality assurance directives.
Must be able to rivet and assemble sheet metal, tubing, bars, and extrusions.
Ability to install decals on mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies.
Experience with upright drills, sanders, grinders, deburring machines, drill sharpeners, and routers.
Ability to operate a portable spot welder (may be required).

Desired Qualifications

May be required to operate Rolls, Robot (plasma burning only) or Corner Cropper.
May be required to assist other operators.
