Alfa Laval is seeking a Field Service Engineer for their Service Academy in Bogotá. This full-time, on-site role involves performing maintenance and minor repairs on standard products at customer sites, investigating technical problems, and reporting findings. The position includes an active training process with potential migration opportunities to the US, Canada, or Mexico.

Responsibilities

Execute maintenance and minor repairs on standard products at customer sites.
Investigate and resolve technical problems on standard products at customer sites.
Prepare service jobs for execution to minimize downtime.
Follow up on actions and promises made to customers.
Write and obtain customer sign-off on service reports.
Update the service execution IT system with relevant information.
Report unsafe practices and incidents for continuous improvement.
Capture installed base data on site and communicate sales opportunities to the sales team.
Proactively recommend spare parts purchases to customers.
Execute services in Service Centers if required.

Requirements

Mechanical, electrical, electronic, electromechanical, or mechatronic engineering university degree.
2 to 4 years of professional experience in Field equipment maintenance (client site), focusing on preventive and basic corrective maintenance.
High English level.
Experience with Mechanical and Electrical maintenance.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Relevant certifications (Tarjeta profesional o Cedula profesional).

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge in automation and process control is preferred.
