Responsibilities
- Cultivate a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs and policies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct ES&H training programs for employees.
- Lead efforts to reduce the organization's environmental footprint.
- Manage all aspects of site security.
- Act as “Management Representative” for OSHA VPP Star Certification.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Safety and Health, Engineering, Chemistry or safety related science.
- Two years of experience in Environmental and Industrial Health and Safety areas including air, water and waste in manufacturing setting.
- Applied knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental health and safety regulations.
- Broad knowledge of hazards and chemical processes with special emphasis in manufacturing environment.
- Broad knowledge of federal OSHA and state safety regulations and programs.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing and conducting training programs.
- HAZWOPER.
- Familiarity with ergonomics issues relevant to manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of NFPA fire and electric codes.
