HCLTech is looking for a Design Lead in Bengaluru, India, with expertise in Electrical Design Engineering for semiconductor equipment, power distribution, and control panels. The role requires 7-10 years of experience in design engineering and manufacturing environments, with strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, HMI, and various electrical CAD tools.

Responsibilities

Design and development of semiconductor equipment, electrical modules, power distribution, control panels, and electrical schematics.
Assembly interface, installation, and commissioning.
Working in manufacturing companies like CNC and Special Purpose Machineries, Industrial Automations, SEMI Domain Core Designs.

Requirements

BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Communication / Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering.
7-10 years of experience in Design Engineering.
Knowledge of Assembly Interface, Installation and commissioning.
Experience in manufacturing companies like CNC and Special Purpose Machineries, Industrial Automations, SEMI Domain Core Designs (Not Just with Harness/ Schematics Designs).
Expertise in PLC/CNC/Other OEM specific Control systems with excellent Knowledge about Analog & Digital I/Os., SCADA, HMI, LABVIEW, MATLAB.
Good knowledge in Temperature controllers Like Micro fusion, Watlow, Eurotherm - selections, functional understand.
Expertise knowledge in Servo Control systems, VFD, Motion control feedback system.
Expertise knowledge on Industrial Transducers and Sensors.
Expertise in Power Distribution/Control Panel Designs.
Hands-on experience with at least 2 Electrical CAD Tools Like E3s, E-Plan, Creo, AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works Etc. (Preference will be given to E3s expertise candidate) for Schematics, Cable Harness, PD panel Designs.
Good Hands-on experience in Selection of Electrical & Electronics Components Like Switch Gears, Control Actuators, Power supplies, Industrial transducers, Industrial Sensors, Servo Drives, VF Drives, Servo Motors, Heaters, Induction Motors, Control Systems, PD Enclosures, Cables, Connectors and its accessories, temperature Controllers as Per Global Standards Like UL, NFPA 79, NEMA Etc.
Good Knowledge in Electrical Basic Fundamentals Like EMC, EMI, Earthing, Grounding.
Expertise in Electrical Load and Heat Load calculations for Power Distribution Panel Designs.
Hands on experience/Basic knowledge with Pneumatic/Hydraulic Circuits is compulsory.
Good in Communication and Presentation Skills.

Desired Qualifications

Expertise in Class 3 cable routing with UG&NX or Creo or Solid Works will be an added advantage.
