Emerson is looking for a Data Specialist in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The role involves developing reporting solutions, supporting data quality, and transforming business requirements into insights to enhance decision-making and operational performance. The position is hybrid and full-time.

Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, reporting needs, and performance objectives.
Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using platforms such as Power BI, DOMO, or similar Business Intelligence tools.
Monitor and improve the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data used in reporting and analysis.
Contribute to Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives and standards.
Collaborate with Data Engineering, IT, and Business Intelligence teams to improve reporting and analytics capabilities.
Support compliance with company policies related to information security, ethics, health and safety, environmental standards, and international trade compliance requirements.

Requirements

Experience working with data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or a related field.
Working knowledge of data analytics concepts and reporting methodologies.
Experience using Power BI, DOMO, or similar Business Intelligence and visualization tools.
Knowledge of SQL and data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong English language communication skills, both written and verbal.
Commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
Exposure to data governance, data quality, or master data management practices.
Experience supporting operational reporting and business performance analysis.
Familiarity with digital transformation, process optimization, or automation initiatives.
Ability to create clear documentation for data sources, reporting logic, and business requirements.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional global teams.
