Qualcomm is looking for a Senior Component Engineer in Bangalore, India, to join their CHS Component Engineering team. The role involves reviewing component datasheets, collaborating with suppliers on custom solutions, and validating third-party components for AI inference data center requirements.

Responsibilities

Operate as a member of the CHS Component Engineering team.
Review third party component datasheets for accuracy and completeness.
Work with suppliers to find and develop custom component solutions.
Collaborate with internal systems teams and test engineering to validate 3rd party components.
Respond to AI Inference Data Center component requirements.
Develop and implement a Component Validation Plan.
Work with Taiwan AI Inference DC ODMs and AI Inference DC Design Teams.
Interact with Component Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, CAD Engineers, PdMs, PgMs, OEMs, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Planning, and Support Engineering.
Evaluate, iterate, and integrate new products into platform designs with design teams and suppliers.
Quickly assimilate into existing projects and support fast-moving design schedules.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Communicate clearly, organize effectively, and work with cross-functional teams across multiple engineering disciplines.
Utilize AI Chatbots and AI Agents to efficiently solve problems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
BSEE with Electrical or Component Engineering experience.
2+ years Component, Validation, or Reliability Engineering experience.
Familiarity with HSSIO Components (PCIe, USB4, UFS5, DDR).
Familiarity with Component Validation.
Familiarity with Camera Modules and/or Image Sensors.
Proficiency with all MS Office 365 Tools.
Familiarity with using AI Chatbots and AI Agents to efficiently solve problems.
