As a Part-Time Carts & Loading Associate at IKEA, you will ensure an enjoyable shopping experience by providing car loading services, maintaining physical shopping tools, and addressing customer needs. This role involves supporting various customer service areas and contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment. The position is based in Bolingbrook, Illinois, with an expected end date around October 2027 due to a store relocation.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and efficient car loading and/or unloading services.
Keep the loading zone clean by clearing away straps, excess carts, and cardboard.
Ensure all physical shopping tools (carts, pencils, bags, maps, twine) are adequately stocked and maintained.
Fill physical shopping tools at closing.
Monitor the condition of physical and digital shopping tools and report IT issues.
Remove unsafe physical stands or tools.
Address customer needs and resolve issues independently, escalating to a manager when needed.
Support in other customer service areas such as Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO), Exchanges & Returns, and Click & Collect.
Provide a simple and efficient handout experience for FSHO customers.
Ensure products and equipment are properly staged when supporting returns.
Create a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate order handoff for Click & Collect.
Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture embraces diversity.

Requirements

Lifting up to 50lbs.
Walking frequently.
Working outdoors 50% of the time.
Must be 18+ years old.
Minimum availability requirement of Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
