In short

In this role, you will purchase materials according to specifications, price, and delivery schedules while ensuring compliance with corporate policies. You will identify new suppliers and manage supplier relationships and purchase orders, utilizing your advanced Excel and ERP system skills. This is an onsite position in Mebane, NC, reporting to the Procurement Team Lead.

Responsibilities

Initiate Purchase Orders in the system based on requisitions and confirm deliveries with suppliers.
Monitor and track supplier performance against PO requirements.
Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and periodically renew price lists and terms.
Recommend frame agreements to management and execute upon approval.
Analyze and evaluate bids to determine the optimal value.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience; OR high school diploma/GED and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Minimum 1 year of direct materials purchasing experience is highly desired.
Experience managing supplier relationships and purchase orders.
SAP Ariba experience highly desired.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and data management.
Experience working within ERP and procurement systems.
Effective communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment highly desired.

Desired Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of direct materials purchasing experience.
SAP Ariba experience.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or technical environment.
