Scania New Zealand is seeking an Area Service Manager for the South Island, based in Christchurch or Wellington. This hybrid role involves working closely with branches to drive service activities, ensure customer loyalty, and achieve commercial targets. Requires extensive experience in heavy vehicle/automotive retail service and understanding of service/maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities

Implement, provide guidance & support branches in working with Dedicated Customer Service standards.
Implement & manage Scania services applications/programs to assist with the development of workshop & customer support.
Compile & analyse financial & performance reports to develop strategies together with branches.
Coach, motivate & encourage accountability in service teams to reach targets.
Contribute in improvement activities based on a standardised working method.
Support service related activities in the market and business plan, aiming at reaching Scania’s commercial and financial targets.

Requirements

Extensive experience in heavy vehicle/automotive retail service
Understanding of service/maintenance requirements for heavy vehicles
Familiar in the use of OEM applications
Experience in working with process and change management
A current Drivers Licence
Full New Zealand working rights

Desired Qualifications

Based in the Wellington or Christchurch office
Reporting to the Service Director
