AWS Support is seeking an Applied Scientist II to join the AiRES team in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This role involves developing advanced ML and Gen AI solutions, predictive models, and optimization algorithms to enhance business operations and customer support within the AWS cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, data analysis, and deploying models at scale.

Responsibilities

Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analysis, machine-learning model development, validation, and serving.
Serve as a key scientific resource in full-cycle development (conception, design, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance).
Research, design, and develop new AI technologies for personalization.
Adopt or invent new machine learning and analytical techniques in the realm of recommendations and large language models.
Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product partners locally and abroad.
Invent, experiment with, and launch new features.
Iterate models and stay up-to-date on the latest enhancements in the Data Science ecosystem.
Accelerate the development of multimodal Large Language Models and Generative Artificial Intelligence solutions.
Own the end-to-end development and deployment at scale of Generative AI and ML solutions.

Requirements

3+ years of building models for business application experience.
PhD, or Master's degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.
4+ years of designing experiments and statistical analysis of results experience.

Desired Qualifications

Experience using Unix/Linux.
Experience in professional software development.
Experience in investigating, designing, prototyping, and delivering new and innovative system solutions.
