Synopsys seeks an experienced AI Architect to design and evolve enterprise-scale AI and GenAI platforms. This role requires deep expertise in production AI systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive cross-functional alignment on architectural standards and governance. You will mentor architects and engineers, influencing technology strategy and ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of AI workloads.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve enterprise-scale blueprints for GenAI, agentic AI, and AI infrastructure platforms.
- Architect reference implementations for scalable, secure, reliable AI systems.
- Drive cross-functional alignment on standards, architectural decision records, and governance models.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into executable architectures.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks for security, compliance, and platform lifecycle management.
- Engage with hyperscalers, AI vendors, and strategic partners.
- Mentor senior architects and engineers, conducting architecture reviews.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in GenAI, LLMs, agentic AI patterns, and AI/ML platform design.
- Track record of architecting systems that handle real production workloads.
- Strong background in infrastructure-native architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms.
- Proven ability to design and influence enterprise-scale architectures.
- Solid understanding of security, compliance, and governance requirements for AI and infrastructure platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills with both executives and engineering teams.
- Typically 15+ years in software engineering, architecture, or platform development, including 8+ years delivering large-scale infrastructure-native systems.
Desired Qualifications
- Thought leadership in the form of architecture reviews, technical publications, patents, or conference talks is a strong plus.
- Experience working with hyperscalers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience engaging with AI vendors or strategic technology partners.
- Visionary technical leader with deep architectural judgment.
- Ability to build trust and turn conflicting priorities into aligned roadmaps.
- Passion for mentorship and actively coaching senior engineers and architects.
- Adaptable and resilient, comfortable working through ambiguity.
- Commitment to building inclusive teams.
- Ability to represent Synopsys with confidence in front of customers, partners, and vendors.
