Sandvik is seeking a qualified Accountant for a permanent, hybrid role in their Dublin office. The position involves efficient handling of general accounting activities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local legislation, and contributing to digital transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Business/Finance and a professional accounting qualification.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting for assigned P&L and Balance Sheet sections.
- Perform month-end accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Review month-end results and understand key business drivers.
- Prepare, review, and challenge Group reporting.
- Develop and document best practice processes.
- Build effective relationships with key stakeholders and respond to queries.
- Identify and manage process improvements and accounting policy enhancements.
- Support the implementation of new systems and automation initiatives.
- Maintain robust internal control processes.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Tax, and Treasury teams.
- Act as a mentor to other team members and share knowledge.
- Function as back-up for other roles within the Finance organization.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience (1+ years post-qualification).
- Specific experience in accounting, analysis, and project work.
- Experience preferably within a large global company or Big 4.
- University degree in Business / Finance.
- Qualified Accountant – ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the EU or hold a valid permit to work in the EU.
